What are Safety bags?

Safetybags are packaging made from strong, transparent polyethylene designed to securely contain liquids or prevent liquids from entering. By simply removing the cover strip, the bag can be hermetically sealed.

In combination with Transportblisters, PolyMed shipping envelopes, and sufficient absorbent material, this composition meets packaging regulations (P650) in the Netherlands. These requirements ensure the safe transport of potentially infectious sample materials by mandating that secondary packaging for liquids be leak-proof and for solids be dust-tight. If multiple fragile items are packaged together, they must be individually wrapped or separated to prevent contact. Furthermore, the entire packaging, including the outer packaging, leak-proof secondary packaging, and absorbent material, must be approved as a whole. In the Netherlands, Transportblisters are primarily used as the rigid component.

Different Types of Safetybags

DaklaPack offers a wide range of Safetybags, each with its own specialties.

• The Rigid Safetybags are DaklaPack's own innovation and are a 3:1 packaging solution. In addition to the leak-proof layer, they include absorbent material and a rigid component. Rigid Safetybags are widely used in national screenings by the government.
• The Pharma Safetybag is particularly suitable as a secondary liquid-tight packaging for infusor bags ranging from 100 to 1,000 ml.
• We also offer Safetybags made from recycled materials. These contain at least 85% recycled PE, resulting in reduced use of petroleum for production and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
• The Personal Safetybags are essential for medical care, allowing safe storage of patient belongings.
