Absorbent materials

Absorbent materials are necessary to comply with DOT and IATA shipping regulations when packaging and transporting Category A or B Biological Substances or Exempt Animal / Human Specimens. Our proprietary absorbent materials have extremely high absorption properties that ensure efficient sample containment as well as handler protection. DaklaPack’s absorbent materials are designed for safe Lab work and for the safe transport of biological specimens. They come in absorbing sheets, absorbing tube holders, and absorbing pads. Our Absorbing Sheets are highly absorbent, offering cost effectiveness and flexibility as they can be used for both Lab work (benchtop mat) to absorb any potential liquid spills and also when transporting specimens in secondary packaging. Sheets can be cut to accommodate specimen transport packaging and meet / exceed minimum specimen absorbency requirements. Our Absorbing Tubeholders are designed with exceptional absorption capacity for the safe transport of Biological Substance Category B or Exempt lab specimen tubes to contain any liquids, keep tubes separate, and provide tube cushioning as well during handling and transport. Used in combination with our SafetyBags (Specimen Bags) to comply with DOT and IATA shipping standards. Our Absorbing Pads offer medical-grade absorption capabilities designed to quickly absorb and contain any potential leaks or spills during specimen handling or transport. These pads are engineered to quickly absorb liquids and convert them to a solid substance and are suitable for large biological samples.
