Success story: Suter Dental Labor

During Suter Dental Labors’ (Germany) daily work they got very aware of the increase in non-recyclable single use plastic waste. To decrease their impact, they decide to invest/create 100% industrially compostable dental bags with a document holder in 2021.

However, these dental bags could not be found on current markets and therefore, Suter Dental Labor collaborated with DaklaPack Europe B.V. Together we created a fully industrial compostable dental bag, entirely made from PLA. PLA is a bioplastic created from renewable resources such as sugarcane or corn. Additionally, the manufacturing process of PLA produces significantly less CO2 compared to conventional plastics. Furthermore, we did not only focus on using a sustainable raw material but we also only used ink which is compostable so that the composting processes would not get negatively disrupted.

Thus, this is an inspiring success story which shows that with a vision, partnerships and willpower, it is possible to be part of circular and sustainable future.
